The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission has scheduled the 2018-19 duck hunting season. Dates are as follows:
Sept. 15th — 30th
1st break: Nov. 17th — 25
2nd Season: Dec. 6th — 23rd
3rd Season: Dec. 26th — Jan. 27
Early Canada Goose Season:
Sept. 1st — 30th
Regular Goose season:
Oct. 27th — 29th
Nov. 17th — 30th
Dec. 2nd — Jan. 27th

Black River Outdoors Shooting Hours
Normal daily shooting hours begin 30 minutes before sunrise and end at sundown.
Our duck and goose hunting tours run through shooting hours until the kill limit is reached or participating hunters harvest 11 birds.
Afternoon hunts start at 2:00 p.m.
The following limits are set by the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission.
- No more than six ducks per day (per gun), four of which can be mallards (no more than two hens allowed)
- Three wood ducks
- Two redheads
- One black duck
- One pintail
- One canvasback
- One mottled duck
- Three scaup
- Six maximum for any duck species not listed.
Up to three white fronted (specklebelly) geese or two Canada geese allowed per day (per gun).
